On the first day of summer vacation, Takeshi, a fifth-grader, moves into Hoshigaoka housing complex. He sees a spaceship in a park from inside a moving truck and immediately goes to see it. On his way back, he is approached by Takano Mai, who lives nearby. Takeshi and Mai spend their summer vacation doing radio exercises and going on dates. One day, they meet an alien who is in charge of monitoring the solar system on the park's spaceship, which they have named "Tanabata-go." This is a juvenile story that depicts the encounters and growth of a boy and girl over the course of a summer amid the grand mystery of the universe.

Tadayoshi Imada
Born in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1957.
After graduating from high school, he moved out of the prefecture.
His hobby is watching movies. He also likes to travel, having traveled all over the country on a motorcycle from Hokkaido to Okinawa.
