Our universe where we, the readers of this book and me, are living, and more precisely the universe where Shaka-muni Buddha and Jesus Christ were born, I will call this universe "the Saha universe" when I mean to distinguish our universe from the para-universes.
I was in a house which was made after my grandmother's house in the Saha universe. There was a person who was sitting on the floor. The person wore a white hood like a Buddhist nun and looked like a woman at a glance. There was a man standing beside me. "Is that person Amida Buddha?" I asked him. I was seventeen. Afterward I knew this Amida Buddha was my father in the para-universe. I was born as his son in the para-universe.
In the Saha universe, what brought me into contact with Amida Buddha? I started worshipping a Buddhist altar at seventeen. There was a small altar on a chest of drawers in my house. There was a small "kakejiku"(hanging scroll) in the altar on which a picture of Amida Buddha was painted. Part of the soul of Amida Buddha had been put into it rightly. I had not told Amida Buddha where I would be born. So he did not know where I had been born. As I began to worship the picture everyday, he had come to recognize me as his son by my aura which was different from other people.
