［プロフィール］
川村泰史（かわむら・ひろふみ）

1961年、徳島県生まれ。川島町立川島小学校（現：吉野川市立川島小学校）、川島町立川島中学校（現：吉野川市立川島中学校）、徳島市立高等学校、筑波大学卒業。小学生の頃、小さなカメラを入手したのをきっかけに写真に興味を持ち、1995年から作品として写真を撮り始める。同年、徳島県美術展覧会に入選。以後、日本光画会、東京写真研究会等の公募展へ出品。徳島県立農林水産総合技術支援センター農業大学校にて勤務する傍ら、植物や静物、自然を被写体に、日常の中に潜むドラマティックな瞬間を独自の視点で切り取り、注目を集める。1999年からは海外展へも出品し、在リヨン名誉総領事賞等を受賞。2000年から個展を開催、2016年には初の海外個展をパリで行い、2018年にはニューヨーク、2019年にはロンドンでの個展を予定している。

Profile
Hirofumi Kawamura

Born in 1961 in Tokushima Prefecture. Graduated from Kawashima Municipal Elementary School (present name: Yoshinogawa Municipal Kawashima Elementary School), Kawashima Municipal Junior High School (present name: Yoshinogawa Municipal Kawashima Junior High School), Tokushima Municipal High School, and the University of Tsukuba. While in elementary school, he developed an interest in photography after getting a small camera, and began taking artistic photographs in 1995, and his work was selected for the Tokushima Prefectural Art Expo the same year. Since then, he has contributed to other public exhibitions, such as the Nihon Kogakukai and Tokyo Shashin Kenkyukai. While serving at the Tokushima College of Agriculture, he garners interest by capturing the dramatic moments hiding in everyday life through his unique perspective, his subjects including plants and inanimate objects in nature. Since 1999 he participates in overseas exhibitions, and received the Honorary Consul-General of Lyon Award. Since 2000 he is holding solo exhibitions, and held his first overseas exhibition in 2016 in Paris, and is scheduled to hold solo exhibitions in New York in 2018 and in London in 2019.
